Our Commitment

The Illinois Small Business Development Center at Sauk Valley Community College is committed to providing equitable access to our website, business advising, workshops, training programs, and other services for individuals with disabilities.

We continually work to improve accessibility and remove barriers that may prevent someone from accessing our information or participating in our programs.

Website Accessibility

We strive to achieve and maintain conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2 Level AA. Some older content may still be under review or revision.

Our accessibility efforts include improving:

  • Website navigation and keyboard access

  • Compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technologies

  • Alternative text for meaningful images

  • Color contrast and text readability

  • Captions, transcripts, and other alternatives for multimedia

  • Accessibility of documents, forms, and registration processes

Accommodations for Advising, Workshops, and Services

Reasonable accommodations may be requested for SBDC advising appointments, workshops, training programs, virtual meetings, and other services.

When applicable, please complete the appropriate client or event registration before submitting your accommodation request. Contact us as early as possible because some accommodations require advance coordination. Requests will be considered based on the individual’s needs and the nature of the program or service.

You do not need to provide detailed medical information in your initial request. Please describe the access need or accommodation being requested.
