Kim Ewoldsen
Illinois SBDC Director


A native of Whiteside County, Kim previously held the role of Executive Director of the Morrison Area Development Corporation and Chamber and, before that, the Executive Director of the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce.  Her professional background involves a plethora of work pertaining to economic development including having been an Agriculture Economic Development Specialist with the Illinois Department of Agriculture and an International Marketing Representative in the Governor’s Office.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics from the University of Illinois.


Kim joined SVCC in 2019 in the role of Coordinator of Regional Economic Development.  Within that role, she coordinated economic development within the College’s district by working closely with local government, businesses, agencies, and partnerships.  She will build on that work in coordination with SBDC duties by planning and directing activities in coordination with the Illinois SBDC.


Kim has well established relationships throughout the Sauk Valley that will allow the College to become an even stronger partner with local employers and future development efforts.
