Workshop Overview & Join Info:

Sherry Pritz Enderle , Marketing & Events Coordinator and Business Development Lead for NIU EIGERlab Innovation Network and NIU-Rockford will be talking about the services available through EIGERlab including prototyping, co-working space options, and other training and consulting available through Eiger and the NIU partnership.

Stacy McCaskill, Director of the Illinois Small Business Development Center located at Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, IL will be introducing the services and training available at cost or no-cost to entrepreneurs throughout Illinois. Stacy will speak on form of ownership choices, how to get an FEIN, how to register a sole-proprietorship with your local county government, how to get registered with www.mytax.illinois.gov to pay sales and employment taxes, how to register your c-corp as an s-corp with the IRS, and how to establish an LLC or S-Corp directly with the State of Illinois at www.cyberdriveillinois.com. She will also share tips on the first few steps any new business needs to take to get formally established and up and running.
