Hemp Processors & Derivative Manufacturers Summit
Time & Location
Workshop Overview & Join Info:
The Illinois hemp supply chain is in its infancy. Formulating a good business model is complicated and confusing to even the most educated hemp farmer. Furthermore, the market is by no means stabilized or organized in a clear and understandable way. Farmers are asking, “If I grow it, who will buy it? What are pricing dynamics? How much and of what variety should I grow? How could I use hemp to diversify my current agricultural commodity mix? These are the classic questions for any new agricultural product. Add in disruptive processing and manufacturing technologies and we have a serious conundrum. Those who figure out this puzzle will be true leaders in this emerging marketplace. To help you consider this new market opportunity, we have brought in processing and manufacturing innovators who are positioning themselves to lead the way.
This advanced forum is focused on diving deeper into the fiber and flower supply chain logistics and the technologies revolutionizing industrial hemp processing and manufacturing. Farmers need to understand hemp industry logistics before they make large scale investments into incorporating hemp into their overall crop rotation and grow plans. This forum is designed to help farmers and first-mover investors better understand the supply chain opportunities and challenges of this newly legalized agricultural commodity.
