REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT

The Illinois Small Business Development Center at
Sauk Valley Community College

Step 2: Complete new client registration

In order to request an appointment, please click the button at the bottom of this page and fill out the client registration form in the new window. It will ask you general information about you, personal contact information, your business (if applicable), and what types of services that you are looking for professional advisement. Please also be sure to note if you would like to be contacted by phone, email, or text message.

Our center staff will call or email you within 1 to 2 business days with a list of available appointment times and different options to meet your schedule. Please be sure to check your inbox and/or spam folder, if email is your preferred contact method.

We generally prefer to meet our clients in-person but are always open to other methods of communication! During your initial appointment at our center, our staff of advisors will meet with you to get to know you a little bit better, understand your business idea/current business, and how we can best assist you as our client and provide long-term support. If needed, please bring any information that you think would help us understand you or your business in our initial session. We will rely on the information that you provide us to assist you during your advising session(s). We are located at Sauk Valley Community College on the Dillon Mall (East) side of the building (where the guest parking is located) on the first floor. As you enter the building, we are on the right side where you will see a check in window. Please proceed to the opening directly past the check-in window and our office will be on the first right before the elevator. For your reference, our Room Number is 1K11.

All appointments are provided at no cost to you. Our center is funded by a grant through the SBA, and the State of Illinois Department of Commerce, Sauk Valley Community College as well as our supporting partners in the community. There is no limit on the number of times that you meet with our staff of advisors.

Our team of advisors are contractually required to:

  • Keep your client status, business idea/current business, and all other information disclosed 100% confidential.

  • Not recommend the purchase of goods or
services from sources in which the advisor would personally receive any direct
    compensation.

Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested in advance. Please contact Justin Bergman at Justin.R.Bergman@SVCC.edu or 815-835-6221 to request accommodations.
