Sauk Valley Community College
The Small Business Development Center at the Sauk Valley Community College has been established as part of a statewide network with support from city and county governments, local banks and community businesses as well as the federal Small Business Administration and Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
Our services include: one-on-one management consultation, training and professional development, strategy development and feedback, loan packaging help, assistance with financial projections, guidance on earned, owned, and paid marketing media mix, assistance with accounting tools, guidance on business administration technologies and applications, and generally any information needed to make informed business decisions.
Our list of training and workshops are those which we have designed and will deliver, co-developed and/or co-hosted workshops, and those we recommend that are offered from regional partners such as other IL-SBDCs, educational institutions, and area chambers of commerce.
100% of our workshops are no-cost while those offered by our partners may include a nominal cost to cover materials, trainers, and resources.
Workshop topics range from those relevant to startups to those needed by experienced business professionals. If you do not see the topic that you need, please contact us. We are eager to receive your guidance so that we can deliver topics that are needed and highly relevant to small businesses in our region.
The Sauk Valley Community College IL-SBDC equips entrepreneurs and small businesses with practical information, skills, and strategies that make measurable, positive impact on the performance of their businesses and, by extension, on the communities in which they work.
The IL-SBDC exists to strengthen our economy through the delivery of high quality, in-depth, and effective business consulting to existing and start-up businesses, creating both wealth and jobs.

Our consulting services include assessment, strategy feedback and validation, coaching, and no-judgement education. We are also your link to other resources and partners which may provide additional professional business assistance and services.
